facial cleansers
Anyone who knows me knows I am love makeup and skin care products. I have a few different drawers full of skin care products and even more drawers full of makeup products. I was searching my skin care drawers, I noticed I did not have any cleansers in there. For years, I have been using and loving the Mary Kay timewise 3-in-1 cleanser (it cleanses, tones, and gently exfoliates). I loved it because it saved time and steps, but I did not think it cleaned my face better than anything I've used.
For days, I have been debating on whether I should repurchase the Mary Kay cleanser or buy one from the online wellness store I have been shopping at. As I was trying to back this decision, I heard about an app called "Think Dirty" which rates products based on how many toxic ingredients it has in it and it tells what the ingredients are and what they do. I was told by the people who introduced me to Mary Kay that there are no harsh chemicals in the products. So, I was pretty surprised when I found it on the app, saying it was essentially "dirty". A rating of 10 is dirty and this product has an 8 rating.
I read somewhere that there 80,000 toxic ingredients that are related to the skin care industry, the U.S. only has banned 11 of these ingredients.
I went to the ingredients list of the cleanser I was considering to purchase and started googling the ingredients and I have to say that I felt relieved as this product has a lot of ingredients that are derived from coconut oil.
Stay tuned for an actual update of the product.
